What part of Win2K is using FreeBSD code?  It's been common knowledge that
most of the IP command line utilities are FreeBSD based, I don't think they
have denied that.

The Hotmail denial is just plain dumb. That they thought they wouldn't get
caught is worse.  If they had said it up  front with the right spin, it
wouldn't have been an issue: "All of the ...really important bits.... of
Hotmail have been moved to Win2K, allowing us to reap the benefits of .NET,
bla, bla, bla.  However, we have left in place some legacy boxes serving basic
utility functions such as DNS.  These will be replaced as needed..."

Oh well, it's good they get knocked down a notch every now and then.
