That's exactly what I'm worried about, but when I try and set (in OE) "My
server requires authentication" to on, and set the settings to "Use same
setting as my incoming mail server" I can't send mail, it always refuses
either the login name or password.  I'm running:

Win2K Advanced with SP2
Imail 6.06 with all the patches

Here's a copy of the section out of the log file:

20010908 212639 127.0.0.1       SMTPD (0040030A) [**.***.**.***] EHLO Mike
20010908 212639 127.0.0.1       SMTPD (00000494) FAILED authentication

20010908 212641 127.0.0.1       SMTPD (0041030A) [**.**.***.***] connect
**.***.**.*** port 2944

The main database used is the Imail DB, one host uses SQL.  I thought it was
because of the SQL, but it's also happening to hosts that use the Imail DB.

Thanks,

Mike
