Can I take credit for "fixing" the problem anyway? <grin>

Thanks..Imail usually (knock on wood) runs flawlessly and I very rarely
get any error messages in my logs.

One less thing to worry about on a Monday!

This means that MSN is not accepting E-mail, but will be back up soon to

accept E-mail. That is 100% an MSN problem: Either their mail server
isn't up, or their mail server is broken and sending the wrong response.

Don't bother; 6.06 can't fix this. It's an MSN problem.

That looks good to me, too. And, if MSN returned a "421" based on a
missing PTR record, the problem would still be on their end.

The only thing that could be a problem on your end is if the above log
entries are a common occurrence, but when you actually get through to a
"live" server, something different goes wrong. For example, if there
was a
typo in the E-mail address (just as an example), you would still see the

"421" message, but sometime later when IMail retried the message, you
would
see MSN rejecting the bad address.
