You can check using the Spam Database Lookup at http://www.dnsreport.com . There's also a list of the 40+ spam tests at http://www.declude.com/junkmail/support/ip4r.htm . > I inquire because after reading information from >there site, I found out that if one of our customers sets up a mail server >inside one of our Trusted IP blocks and sends the mail from his server to >ours, we wil forward it on because of our Relay Rules. Even if we used the >SMTP Auth, he will still be able to send through our mail server. This in >turn will result in our Mail Server being "Blackholed". That is correct. That's called a "multi-stage" relay, where your server acts as a "smart host". Some of the spam tests list both "inputs" and "outputs"; in this case, your customer's mail server would be considered an input, and your mail server would be considered an output. -Scott --- Declude: Anti-virus, Anti-spam and Anti-hijacking solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
