As a school we not only ensure that we have up to date virus protection on our 
network, but we also use rules to filter various different things, including 
executables.

We do not allow pupils to bring executables into school. Our machines not only refuse 
to open executables from certain disc drives, but we also filter them out of students' 
email using the rules.ima

As a 'private company' I see no problem in this. But would consider this unacceptable 
if this view was adopted by an ISP. It really does depend upon your client base.
