Hi, I know Len and others are not big fans of MS DNS, but this is what we are curently using. I would appreciate if someone can help me answer the following question:
Suppose I have a server with 2 IP address, (on the same NIC, or on different NICs) I want the queries that my DNS server sends to other servers (same or higher level) to always have the source address as ip.add.ress.2 and never ip.add.ress.1. I don't mind that my server only responds for DNS queries on ip.add.ress.2, and never on ip.add.ress.1 I did try the "server properties"-"Interfaces" tab for the dns server, but I did not get the expected results. I would appreciate a step by step instruction to set up DNS to only use ip.add.ress.2 as source address for the queries it sends Thanks in advance Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
