<G> E-mail is mission critical for many of our customers (it certainly is
for us), and we planned accordingly. If you pay attention during the
installation, you'll know immediately if something goes seriously
wrong. If something *does* go seriously wrong, it's easy to quickly
disable any of the Declude programs. If necessary, you can pretty easily
totally disable Declude as well. That way, you can buy some time without
having to frantically figure out what went wrong.

Declude JunkMail is designed so that you have to specifically tell it to
blow something up before it will -- the only way it will quarantine E-mail
or delete it or bounce it is if you specifically tell it to.

Declude Virus, if not set up properly, could potentially quarantine all
E-mail (this would happen if your virus scanner was improperly installed
and was always reporting an error, even when no virus was found). That
rarely happens, but is a possibility. To catch this right away, simply
send a test E-mail through the server, and make sure you receive it. If
you don't receive it within a few seconds (or a minute or so if running
Declude JunkMail, in case of DNS delays), you can temporarily disable
Declude until the problem is solved. It's also pretty easy to get any
quarantined E-mail sent out again.

>Do you have an eval or demo version that I can have a look at?

We do now have a 30-day trial version of Declude Virus (but not the other
programs). You can E-mail me for more details.

>There aren't any details on your site that discuss the interface (if any -
>maybe it's command line which is cool). I have been lurking here for a
>long time (since version 4 believe it or not) and I haven't seen this

The Declude products use configuration files, plain 'ole text files that
can be modified with Notepad (or whatever you want, even fancy ASP
scripts). We are (slowly) working on a better GUI interface than Notepad. :)

>If anyone here can comment on the install procedure or routine
>administration details that would be great.

Hopefully, someone can speak up and share their thoughts.
