I second that... :-) FYI regarding running both on the same server: They both utilize the exact same declude.exe file. The only real difference is that you add another config file(s) that control how the junkmail portion works. The same executable then scans the email for viruses, then checks the spam rules all in one swoop. Not much more overhead at all, the declude.exe just has to do a few more checks before processing a spool file.
For the amount of junk mail we were handling (we have always been closed to relay, etc, but this is the first time we've filtered anything such as spam), I have actually witnessed that my average processer use has stayed the same or decreased slightly (since we are bitbucketing a lot of junk that we used to have to try and deliver). Bottom line, HIGHLY recommend the JunkMail/Virus bundle for anyone who uses Imail. - Tony Gray Intouch Comm. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Jeff Kratka > Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2002 12:14 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Declude Virus and Junk Mail > > > I am running both Declude Virus and Declude Junk Mail ( yes they do run on > the same machine ) and it has been the best investment I have made for my > service.
