That's how people running Unix mailservers are able to run our
software. You just stick IMail and Declude on a separate server, and have
IMail act as though it was a backup mail server. The MX records then point
to the IMail+Declude server, which accepts the mail, scans it, and then
passes it on to the "real" mailserver (be it sendmail on Unix, Exchange, or
another IMail server).
That way, you don't have to run the virus/spam scanning on the same server
as IMail. Very few of our customers choose to operate this way, but the
option is there for those who want it.
