That's because with our solution, you use 3 programs to do 3 jobs. You
need a mail server to accept mail, a program to decode the attachments and
send notifications and such, and a program to do the virus scanning. With
Declude, you have IMail act as the mail server, Declude takes care of the
"behind the scenes" stuff (decoding, etc.), and F-Prot (or another scanner
of your choice) will handle the virus scanning.
The traditional approach (ala WebShield SMTP, NAVIEG, etc.) is to buy a
product that combines a mail server, the decoding stuff, and the virus
scanner. Why buy an extra mail server (and be forced to run it) if you
don't need to, especially if it may have flaws (such as allowing anonymous
E-mail, or not letting you lock it down against relaying, or holes for DoS
attacks)?
Note that IMail AntiVirus (as far as we know) does not require a separate
mail server like the other AV SMTP programs, so you don't run into those
flaws with IMail AntiVirus either.

I'll leave that one to others, since my opinion is somewhat biased. Both
are (again, in my opinion) good products, each with its own benefits and
drawbacks.
