Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I have wondered if this was the problem myself, however, I have had a bad experience with imail 6 of changing the server name after going live with a setup and I am scared to do it again!
Incidentally, I took onboard someones kind suggestion that there was a dns problem in 7.03 so I've upgraded to 7.05. So far, all my hotmail has gone through ok. Do people think I should make the change and switch the hostname of the server ? I use virtual hosts so I think Imail goes crazy if you rename the host to be one of the virtual hosts. That's not a Fully Qualified Domain Name (in other words, nobody on the Internet can connect to "server80", except perhaps people in your office). You should check that the Official Host Name of your server ("Host Name" on the General tab of IMail Administrator, when "localhost" is highlighted on the left side of the screen) is a FQDN.
