Without a discussion? There have been about 20 posts discussing this issue. And that is only this round. It has been brought up before.
While your point has merits, who is going to explain that to AOL or any other want-to-be-GOD ISP out there that is going to decide to follow the letter of the RFC.. Why not just put this issue to rest by placing the X1 somewhere else. I find it very interesting that all the responses from anyone at Ipswitch only defend their position. I have seen no statement from them as to why Ipswitch insists on putting X1 in that spot. Mr. Korsak, you yourself would help this discussion if you would give us an official reason for Ipswitch taking such a hard stance that they are right on this issue.
