Most SMTP-based virus scanners will scan E-mail first, before checking to
see if the file extension is not allowed. Otherwise, if people send a
virus but they see a ".exe files aren't allowed" type message in response,
they may assume that your virus scanner didn't detect the virus.
So I would not worry that it was treated as a virus, and not a banned file
extension.
