Scott, Len, others, please un-perplex me. We have had PTR Record issues for a while. So we set up a little linux box as a secondary DNS, and kept hostdns.hostidaho.com as the primary. (This should have bumped ns1.uswest.net and ns2.denver.uswest.net out of the picture.)
However, we still fail the Reverse MX record test at dnsreport.com. If you go to dnsstuff and do a reverse lookup, it also fails. The interesting part is that it refers to ns2.dnvr.uswest.net... !?!? How can I resolve this? Why doesn't the test ask either of the two DNS servers that I have listed by Internic? http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=www.varsitycontractor s.com Shows pretty good stuff, except my Reverse MX record. However, both the ns1.varsitycontractors.com and the hostdns.hostidaho.com have this entry. http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ptr.ch?ip=hostmail.varsitycontractors.com shows none, and says that it received this info from ns2.dnvr.uswest.net.
