I can to an extent agree that MS Access was not designed for a LARGE database but I have been running imail for 2 years with this configuration and have had no problems until I decided to upgrade to the latest version to possible elivate some minor problems that I was incurring. I don't see how the database can cause the problems that I have been having, if the problem was authentication issues that I would agree but not with the problems in moving files around, deleting, etc..if I am mistaken please explain as to how this could be.
SQL is something that is something that I am looking into implementing but until then, as per my original question, is anyone running version 7.1 having any major problems or unsual problems.?? I wish would have come up with the Declude software..hee..wouldn't be working about these problems then ;?) thanks all for the help. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Guy Isabel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Sat, 11 May 2002 13:28:49 -0400 >I would concur in that you should abandon MS Access and use either a >separate SQL server (not on the same box as IMail) or, even simpler, use the >IMail database. i.e. the Windows Registry. > >By the way, Greg, your last name is just one character short of a trademark >infringement ;)) > >Guy >-- >Guy Isabel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Jason Newland" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Saturday, May 11, 2002 1:20 PM >Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Imail version 7.1 > > >> Greg, >> >> I would have to say that Imail isn't the problem here, but your choice of >External DBs.
