We have had the same problem, as I am sure most have regarding spammer impersonating our users. What this has led to is us being blacklisted at http://relays.osirusoft.com/cgi-bin/rbcheck.cgi?addr=209.164.21.36. A company called mortquote4u impersonated our IP somehow - of course, there is no such website as mortquote4u - and I'm 100% certain they did not use us as a relay. I have sent a cease and desist to the site owner listed at InterNIC.
Biggest problem is I haven't been able to get us removed from the blacklist. I have requested help from our hosting company (XO), but nothing so far.
