There's rarely a good reason for users to log into WM as <root>, and it's disallowed by default; if you insist on letting them log in, creating read-only MAIN.FWD and FORWARD.IMA will prevent them from rerouting messages out of the default <Postmaster>--><root> alias path. This will not, of course, stop them from changing the destination of the <Postmaster> alias. I do agree that <Postmaster> is a server-wide sensitive area that host administrators should not have the automatic ability to modify; you should be able to control this from the top if desired. > Since it returns to postmaster it then gets forwarded to root and so > on and so on. Not to pry deeper, but what actually is "it" in this sentence? If it's a bounced bounce, it will go to <>, a.k.a. <postmaster@primarydomain>, not <postmaster@hosteddomain>. As long as your parent domain has an valid <Postmaster> alias path, there will be no loop. -Sandy Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
