Probably easiest way is to buy HKSI's EZSignup utility:
     http://www.humankindsystems.com/products/detail.htm?code=IM-EZSU

There is no automatic way built-in to IMAIL to allow users to
create their own accounts. There is a way for a domain admin to
     create user accounts.

You can write your own scripts that allow users to create their
own accounts. After collecting data exactly what you do next
depends on whether you use IMAIL's database, the NT database, or
a Sql database. And the last step would be to send a message to
the new account to force iMAIL to create the directory structure
     for the account.

hic> B) Anyone have any comments on Imail vs. Mailmax? I'm interested
hic> in anything, positive or negative, in either direction.

I don't know anything about MailMax - probably best to ask that
on a MailMax list. IMAIL is easy to setup and administer. It
easily handles low volumes of mail and it has rudimentary list
management, simple calendaring, and pretty complete web
interface. Many 3rd party utilities and solutions are available.
There are many reports of it being scaled to handle large numbers
of accounts and messages although this usually requires a lot of
     helper resources.

This list is the best support tool you will find for IMAIL.
