I have been running ISPLCLN daily at 11:59 p.m. (using Windows NT 4.0's "AT"
scheduler) for a year and a half, spanning IMail versions 6.04 through 7.07
using the following command line:
ISPLCLN -n 5 -l 30
and it behaves precisely as it should. When it ran yesterday, May 31, and I
looked at the \spool folder today, June 1st, all I saw were files dated May
31 and June 1st. So it did remove only those log files that were exactly 30
days old. The program file ISPLCLN.EXE that I use is 49,152 bytes in size
and is dated 04/04/2002, 9:32 a.m.
I'm surprised that other people on this list are having problems with this
utility whereas I don't. Since my current version of ISPLCLN.EXE seems to be
working just fine, I am offering to send it to those who are experiencing
problems. Please e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you are interested. I
would suggest that you first make a backup copy of your current version of
ISPLCLN.EXE before using mine and I trust that this offer does not violate
Ipswitch's EULA.
Hope this helps,
Guy
