Well I just got off the phone with my provider and all seems to be
working. They acknowledged a problem in the cisco pix firewall.
Somehow a few of my ip's were magically removed from the configuration.
Now I know imail functioned properly. I guess I am looking for a new
colo provider since it took them 2 weeks to acknowledge this and correct
it. Anyone know of any good ones in the florida area

Have you tried typing:

netstat -an | find "LISTEN" /i

This will show a list of all sockets that are in the listening state.
It
may provide some clues.
