hmm, not exactly representative for IMGate.

After you accept that a certain amount of merde is ALWAYS going to get
through (so you don't repeatedly waste hours trying to block that tiny
%age), and that there will always be false positives (easily and quickly
whitelisted), you can mostly "fire and forget" with IMGate's anti-abuse
gateway.

here's an IMail IPS in LA with a 50% reject rate and no complaints:

Grand Totals
------------
messages

    4868 received
    4853 delivered
      32 forwarded
      38 deferred (232 deferrals)
      77 bounced
    2429 rejected

and the rejects break-out:

       2 RBL dynablock.wirehub.net
       4 ACL header checks
       4 SMTP invalid [EMAIL PROTECTED]
      11 Other
      12 RBL relays.visi.com
      13 ACL unauthorized relay
      14 ACL body checks
      35 RBL orbs.dorkslayers.com
      37 ACL [EMAIL PROTECTED]
      48 SMTP unauthorized pipelining
      53 DNS no A/MX for @recipient.domain
      57 RBL blackholes.wirehub.net
      72 RBL proxies.relays.monkeys.com
116 DNS nxdomain for MTA PTR hostname
     124 RBL relays.ordb.org
     305 ACL unknown local user
     400 ACL [EMAIL PROTECTED]
489 DNS timeout for MTA PTR hostname
     646 DNS no A/MX for @sender.domain

    2442 TOTAL

And this particular IMGate user is not using a lot of RBL checks, and the
ones he does use, as you can see above, don't contribute a huge %age to his
rejects.
