Hello Tom, I gotta agree. I was happy with Imail 6X and when 7 was released one of the upgrade features that "sold" me was the calendar.
Our amazement was Ipswitch's apparent move to a more polished "big league" look and feel. I think they may make a concession and prepare a "patch" sooner if those of us who originaly had all of the questions about calendar standards (ICAL or other) will echo this frustration. I have several customers who had become dependant on this feature and missed appointments when we followed Ipswitch advice and applied the "patch that broke the camels back" Dear Ipswitch, Please let us have more assuring time line information to repair this condition. Thanks in Advance, Rick Brooks Manager ClearsurfUSA.com ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Imail Tom G." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 18 Jul 2002 09:16:46 -0400 I finally got an email from Ipswitch, confirming that calendaring reminders do not work in 7.10+. I'm sure there are many people on this list that do not even use reminders but my customers do. Ipswitch has told me there is no eta on a fix for this. I'm having trouble understanding this, maybe someone here could help to calm me down? Why would they release a product with a major feature broken? When calendaring was first introduced, I was VERY reluctant to making the feature available to my users, because the feature was new. After several requests from my users to turn on calendaring, I finally turned it on, and now I'm regretting it. I don't mean to post anything negative here about Ipswitch, but this one has really got some of my users upset, and I'm taking the heat. I guess I just need to vent a little, and am hoping that anyone who reads this will also express your frustrations to Ipswitch.
