Sandy,  I think you may be wrong about the log file issue :)...  

Last week we mistakenly set our default reply to as @domain..com, and
people were having a terrible time sending e-mails.  The first thing I
did was check the sysmmdd.txt file for that day, and noticed that the
users emails in the <FROM> field was this incorrect setting.  I even
logged into our mail server, and verified the issue. 

The bottom line is that using 7.0x,  my webmail users SMTP session WILL
show up in the sysmmdd.txt file..

The  log  snippet  you  posted  was not from a webmail session, like I
said.
