Dan's suggestion is sound. But there's a major difference, I've found, between the non-MAPI (IMO) and MAPI (CWS) versions of the LDAP service. Only in Corporate mode do LDAP results get cached during a session, and this is a VERY big advantage as far as usability, especially for those coming off Exchange.
