I am experiencing similar problems on one of my servers.  Pop3 and web
connections are lightning fast.  SMTP connections to the server will sit
there for 5-20 seconds before it responds.  I am not running f-prot or
declude on this server.  I'm still trying to narrow down what is causing
this.

imail 7.13
2000 - sp3
quad zeon's
1 gb ram
10k scsi's
spool on seperate drive/controller
