One should usually welcome more options, more params, more flexibility in software.I still don't understand. If it is unusable because of the rfc rule, why is it even an option?
Imail was delivered for years as an "open relay" as default configuration. You can still set it up as an open relay and I bet there are 1000's Imail's running as "relay for local users/hosts". Do-able from the GUI? yes. Advisable? no.
"consecrated with a GUI" doesn't mean a param is "recommended/good/bad", it's just available on the GUI.
