<begin rant> Ah, looks like you're another one of the DC's. In my opinion, the DC's are partially responsible for that whole internet bubble busting thing.
Lemme explain... Back in the early days of the internet, we had geeks running the show. Geeks who knew the technology, what it could and couldn't do, and knew how to use it. These geeks knew that you don't double-click in a web browser. Then comes along all these guys in suits with alot of money. They hire the geeks to sit in cubicles while they sit in the offices. They *think* they're going to make millions with this new "internet technology" thing. However, these suit guys know very little, if anything about the technology (that why they hired the geeks). You could walk into just about ANY dotcom startup in those days and be able to tell the management from the dev staff, simply by watching them use a web browser. The management staff would be sitting there double clicking things on the web pages. That's why we call them the DC's (the Double Clickers). Well, the DC's knew so little about the technology, that the dev staff were able to take full advantage of it, and took weeks and weeks to implement a few simple things that really would have taken a few hours, at most, to implement. Meanwhile, the dev staff played alot of foosball, and basically did a hell of alot of goofing off, while getting paid really well, often convincing the DC's to hire more people just so they could have more people to play foosball with. Eventually, the money ran dry because the DC's spent all the money on overpaid and underworked staff, foosball tables, Aeron chairs and other stuff. Plus, the DCs never really understood what it was they were supposed to do in the first place. So, yeah... I blame a lot of the internet bust on the DCs. But, the developers are to blame also, as they (myself included) soaked the DC's for as much as they could get. <end of rant> ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 9:00 AM Subject: [IMail Forum] Killer Webmail preview pane- pain... > This is what constantly happens when there is more that one message in > the inbox and you double click on any of them: > > The server process has been interrupted due to an internal error.
