if that was all that was erased it would be my 1st guess that human intervention caused the loss. My second best guess would be that possibly a virus scanner, set to delete, triggered and went berzerk and wiped all your mbx files and folders. Is that all that was deleted? Are your users mailboxes/folders on a separate partition or harddrive? Need more input..
