The official RFC-compliant API to Imail SMTP server is on port 25. It's the easiest, most reliable, most portable, most RFC-compliant, etc, etc, etc interface for sending messages.Does anyone know if it is possible to create your own (rfc 822 compliant) smtp messages and put them in the Spool dir of Imail. When I try it, it does not get sent. What fileextension is needed?
And, if you need to "go fast" and inject 50,000 msgs into Imail, don't do it via SMTP (or dropping 50K files directlly into the mailqueue). Imail is not designed to be reliable and fast for that task. Use another MTA.
