I have a user who is trying to connect to our server thru AOL to send/receive his e-mail using Outlook Express....
AOL plays games with SMTP (and likely POP3) as well. The last time I checked, AOL would re-route SMTP packets from their intended destination to a proxy server at AOL, where they would store copies of the E-mail that was sent out.
AOL's customer support denies blocking ports 25 and 110. Is there anything else that somebody can think of?
Yes, AOL's customer support is totally clueless and is not telling you the truth. <G>
