I get this error message sometimes using Outlook Express 6 over an IMAP
connection to our IMAIL server (running V7.07):

A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Subject 'Fw: May we
add a mailbox please?', Account: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', Server:
'mail.maxweb.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC19

I am presented with the option to stop or wait. Choosing either option has
no resolution as it just keeps prompting every few minutes with the same
options.

It happens when the message I send someone will not copy to the 'Sent Items'
folder on the IMail server after a message is sent. This has been an
on-going problem since IMail 7.04. The only way to stop from being prompted
is to kill the msism process in the windows task manager and then restart
Outlook Express. As long as this sent item cannot be transferred to the
'Sent Items' box on the IMail server, no other mail operations for the
account can be performed in Outlook Express. I can set Outlook Express to
not use special folders on the server (the 'Sent Items' and 'Drafts' folder)
and then sent mail is copied locally to the local 'Sent Items' mailbox. This
is not convenient when I want to check on mail I had sent while in a
location other than where the message was sent from. I have tried changing
the names of these special folders, but the result is the same.

Some of my other IMAP users have also experienced this same problem. My
search for the solution has not yielded any results. I am leaning towards
the idea that Microsoft Outlook/Express are just not very good at handling
IMAP.

Any help with a resolution to this IMAP problem would be appreciated.
Thanks!
