Does anyone have a more realistic solution to this issue. All thoughts are welcome.
I'm working on a product with another Imail user that will automatically, dynamically kill such attacks (and lots of other attacks) as soon as they are detected, and automatically unblock the IPs when the attack ceases.
You won't have to respond to such attacks and will probably not even be aware they are under way. and your IMail logs will be kept small since the attackers will not reach Imail at all.
No date, sorry, but the spec is done and programming is progressing very well. The product for Imail is based on what I do and have experienced in IMGate.
