It's not just you.

It's wonderful (and too rare) to post an exasperated wishlist and
start a healthy thread.

It's very reasonable to post your final wishlist, declare that you're
moving on to a particular competitor anyway, and have that be your
final post.

It's perhaps not so bad to ask about full product alternatives that
address specific, proven missing or incomplete functions--though this
would be much more sensible to do by getting on the mailing
lists/bulletin boards of other products, or on platform-agnostic
mailing lists.

I find it worthless to just post negative comments, especially if the
archives show that you've never put forth any issues for public
comment and/or solution, but that's just a matter of taking up space
and showing your ignorance. (Maybe you've spoken to the Ipswitch Help
Desk about your issues, but if you've ever worked a HD you know that
there's not exactly a direct line to Development. Writing to this list
and copying [EMAIL PROTECTED] is probably the closest we've got.)

What I find most offensive is *responding* in favor of specific
competitors, which is not much more than spam in my Inbox. If you want
to cheerlead for something, you have the senders' e-mail address, so
keep it off-list.

My dime ($0.02 x 5).
