The overwhelming response both on and off list have been that ME is bad
news. That much I already knew, but the 30 odd acknowledgements from all of
you will help to support my case.

I have already gone over my bosses head this morning and made the higher-ups
aware of the situation. That is all I can do from the pits. I'm just
sitting here waiting for the s!*t to hit the fan. LOL - my next posting may
be my resume.

As far as the license goes. We have an open-license contract for 95 and
added as needed before. The same will be done this time around. My point
was more along the lines of giving the field employees some sort of
direction regarding the number of computers that can be upgraded, saving me
from the "me too! me too!" calls I will surely be getting. Since I can't
deface the IT dept by telling those that didn't get it that they are better
off, how am I suppose to explain that although you've been calling with
problems for over a year, we don't think you're one of the ones we want to
"improve".

Oh, btw, we do run Windows 2000 too, on the systems I'VE bought - LOL.

This is just another straw on the camels back. The stories could make your
head spin.

Thank you all for your help.
