Hello David,

Have him download spybot http://spybot.eon.net.au/ (free) and search
for adware. Gator is a big one that I have seen do this and many other
weird problems. If he is signing on to XP or 2000 with his user id it
could be the same adware is loaded on his profile at each computer.

Just a guess.
