I'm pretty sure that I have the Hosts file setup correctly, as follows: 127.0.0.1 localhost 10.20.30.40 domain1.com 10.20.30.40 domain2.com 10.20.30.40 domain3.com ...etc.
The Exchange servers are setup in a FE/BE configuration and the virtual domains on IMail are setup with IPs. I have modified the SMTP Virtual Servers on the Exchange side by adding the whole IMail subnet as allowed to relay. I currently have this working by sending to a gateway (the FE Exchange Server private IP) after 3 unsuccessful tries. The FE Exchange server can properly forward to SLMail but I would rather go direct if I could. I'm curious to know why IMail keeps using DNS before Hosts.
