For what it's worth--just because it's a stock response does not mean it has no value.
We were having a send error showing up in our logs with regularity some months ago. Ipswitch suggested we examine the NIC. We did. Looked good. We kept looking for the problem. A week or so later Compaq Insight Manager starting logging a problem with the NIC. We changed the NIC and the problem was resolved. Ipswitch's standard response turned out to be the right answer. Reboot is kind of a stock answer, too, but also effective in many instances... ~Katie -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kevin Bilbee Sent: Friday, August 15, 2003 11:58 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] 8.02 Patch Changing the NIC is justa a standard response from IPSwitch. I would not put much weight on it if you are running a 3com or intel NIC witht eh latest drivers.
