To turn off notification messages simply rename the recipient .eml file.
So to turn off other post master notifications rename
otherpostmaster.eml to something like otherpostmaster.bak

To ban email with atachments by file type just add

BANEXT EXE in virus.cfg

With one entry for each file type

Markus,

We use the declude anti-virus system but I can't find instructions on
how to do as you suggested in the config file. Could you point me in
the right direction on where to find the information on turning off the
notifications message as well as how to not send if the viruses are
containing the list below.

Thanks.

I'm very happy with the solution that Declude.Virus provides. It's not
only possible to mark certain virus/worm names as forging the sender
address, but it's also possible to prevent notifications for certain
virus/worm names.

All this is very flexible and configurable independently for incoming
and outgoing infected- and alert-messages.

For example we know that the following viri are forging the senders
address:

Magistr
Klez
Yaha
Lentin
Bridex
Bugbear
SoBig
Fizzer
Palyh
MiMail

We does not send virus warnings back to the sender if the virus name is
one from the list above because it serves nothing then creating a false
alarm. However the recipient (our customer) recieves the warning because
he was successfully protected from a virus.

Durring "rush days" like yesterday and today we disable also the
recipient warnings because all our customers already has recieved at
least one warning (and are happy with our service)

Markus
