Not that I invented our pricing structure but, having looked at some of
the links you included, allow me to retort. EASE Maestro, the online
software from LSOFT charges the same price per recipient but has a
$1,000 setup fee and a minimum monthly charge of $750. These two
examples are taken directly from their online marketing material:

"A small company sending 20,000 personalized messages a month would be
charged a one-time setup fee of $1000. The delivery charges would be
$300 per month ($0.015 * 20000 messages).

A large company that sends out 100,000 personalized messages a month
would be charged a one-time setup fee of $1000. The delivery charges
would be $1500 per month ($0.015 * 100,000 messages)."

There are a lot of outrageously priced services out there but compared
to other companies in the marketplace, we're a bargain mostly because we
don't charge a setup fee or monthly minimum.

Some places offer buy your own hardware solutions which are probably the
best option for sending daily to large amounts of recipients and we
don't offer that. I should have mentioned in the beginning that we
don't offer a solution that would fit Chandni's needs in a
cost-effective manner.

Wow. That's outrageous.

We do mailouts to 370,000 on our list for... well... nothing. Mailblast
program on FreeBSD. I forget the name - it's been running for years.

NDRs actually bounce back to IMail. That's how we blew out the queue
mangler in 8.00 and had to return to 7.15. ;o)
