Hard to answer with so little information <grin> but are you referring to the Web-based IMail Administrator (on port 8484) falsely displaying the SMTP service as being down, i.e., shown in red with a status of "TCP -1", despite the service actually running? I have had this problem when I started with IMail 6.06 and it is still present in 7.15HF2. Perhaps 8.x fixed this glitch? Also, what do your logs show when this happens?
