Another way to look at it, your PTR hostname being in a subscriber domain is is one negative criterion/negative weight.
... or 100% of the weight, for people using IMGate. :(
Everybody runs their own systems with their own policies.
The trigger is half cocked, one more slip up by your server, and you'll be shot into block lists.
It doesn't work that way. You get into blacklists for specific reasons
Being on a subscriber network with a subscriber PTR domain name a) is a specific reason AND 2) highly predictive of being a source of abuse.
(you get in DSBL for being an open relay, for example). I'm not aware of any spam databases that include people because they have multiple issues.
block/black lists are not only external RBL servers. IMGate has many local blacklists, that list IPs, Class C's, PTR domains, @sender.domains for simple or compound violations.
