Hello All, I've got IMail 7.15 running on W2K, no problems. This server resides on network "A". I've got an Exchange 2000 server running on network "B" inside my office firewall. My Imail accounts are for sofwerks.com and the exchange accounts are as swexchc.sofwerks.com, with MX and A records pointers to each. The error I get is:
Delivery failed 20 attempts: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now, I recall reading somewhere about IMail uses the information in the localhosts file before it refers to DNS for name resolution (I may be way off here) and since these servers share the same domain name of 'sofwerks' I figured I needed to create a record in the localhosts file that points swexchc.sofwerks.com to it's proper IP address but it still will not go. BTW, I have this problem from my yahoo account as well. I believe it's a DNS issue but I'm not positive as to what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help here? One thing I had a question about was whether I can have two MX records listed with the same priority: mail.sofwerks.com [10] swexchc.sofwerks.com [10] I was reluctant to try this as I didn't want to cause issues with my IMail server. Is this how my MX records should be set? (Dumb question I know but I'd rather ask a dumb question and learn than keep quiet and just be dumb.) Thanks for your help. Troy
