If you are running ColdFusion somewhere you can use my free server monitor. Saves me a small fortune on 5-min interval monitoring of a variety of services. Unfortunately the SMTP monitor doesn't work with ColdFusion MX, but all the rest of the tests do.
http://mysecretbase.com/SitePeeker_Home.cfm Is the monitoring software you're using trying to hit port 80 rather than 8383 (or whatever you've set up)? -------------------------------------------- Matt Robertson [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSB Designs, Inc. http://mysecretbase.com -------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Charles Frolick Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2003 10:06 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Remote Monitoring Anyone know the trick to remote monitoring the iwebmsg service via HTTP? Every time I've ever tried it, I get bad results. Currently I get a 404 returned to the monitor software, which means it isn't down, but it also doesn't mean it's up. I want to use HTTP monitoring along with a service monitor since the service can be running but not responding. If you're wondering, I'm using BigBrother for my monitoring, and I'm running 8.04.
