If you are running ColdFusion somewhere you can use my free server
monitor. Saves me a small fortune on 5-min interval monitoring of a
variety of services. Unfortunately the SMTP monitor doesn't work with
ColdFusion MX, but all the rest of the tests do.

Is the monitoring software you're using trying to hit port 80 rather
than 8383 (or whatever you've set up)?

Subject: [IMail Forum] Remote Monitoring

Anyone know the trick to remote monitoring the iwebmsg service via HTTP?
Every time I've ever tried it, I get bad results. Currently I get a 404
returned to the monitor software, which means it isn't down, but it also
doesn't mean it's up. I want to use HTTP monitoring along with a
service monitor since the service can be running but not responding.

If you're wondering, I'm using BigBrother for my monitoring, and I'm
running 8.04.

Thanks,
Chuck Frolick
