I run imail version 8.04 on windows 2000 server.
vacation message cannot be delivered the sender log files says 550-Verification failed for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
I'm guessing that means that IMail couldn't verify the address [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/[EMAIL PROTECTED] shows that the domain is fraught with problems -- first, it is missing an MX record, which essentially says "We're not letting people know that the agrimony.caret.cam.ac.uk domain exists for some reason, but people who really want to send us mail should look up the A record for agrimony.caret.cam.ac.uk and send it there". But, connections to that server time out.
20031217 163212 127.0.0.1 SMTP (03EC0037) Unable to find Anti-Spam Host Information for agrimony.caret.cam.ac.uk
This is something else you may need to look into -- it looks like IMail v8's anti-spam isn't working for that domain.
But it is appropriate that IMail isn't sending the notification, since the domain does not seem to accept mail.
