Welp, I only know what I have stumbled across in IIS6, but what I have found is II6 is by default, configured in a much more secure a fashion than IIS5 and previous. So a number of things that work on IIS5 out of the b ox, require some adjustments in IIS6. In particular, I found I needed to access the "web Service Extensions" node of the IIS manager, and enable several of the default disables extensions before PHP and a few other scripts would work.
