Sam,

Check out this link:

http://www.nagios.org/products/environmental/

It features some products made by TempTrax. I don't use TempTrax or any
other environmental monitoring device, but I do use Nagios (and it is
great).

Thanks,

Mark

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Remote temperature monitoring?

Here's something I hope some of you can help me with. I got into the office
this morning, went into the server room, and was a little shocked at the
balmy 95% temperature inside. The A/C unit froze over. I'm trying to find
something along the lines of a thermometer device I can hook up to a server
in the room, and have it monitor the temperature, then email me if it goes
above a certain temperature. I've found one such device made by 'Sensorsoft
Corporation' for $149 that will do the job. Was just curious if anyone else
had a recommendation of a similar setup that may have more features like
SNMP. Sensorsoft also has a setup which can be monitored by SNMP, but its
$575. Any ideas? Anyone familiar with the 'Sensorsoft' products?

Thanks,
Sam
