This was done and it did not solve the problem.  Any other ideas.

You need to check a box within outlook and outlook express.  The check box is “my outgoing server requires authentication”.  It’s under the email settings for the user, outgoing server tab.  That should work.  I had the same problem.  Hope that helps.

Subject: [IMail Forum] imail behind cisco router with firewall

We are running Imail 8.05 behind a cisco 2620 with firewall.  I opened ports 25 and 110.

No users using outlook or outlook express could send e-mail to any outside e-mail address.  Error was 550-  Unable to relay.

It worked ok from web messaging.  There was no problem after removing the firewall, so this is a Cisco configuration issue.

My question is what ports need to be open on the cisco for this to work correctly.

Help

Thanks
