SPAMD is the server daemon, running under Cygwin. SPAMC32 is the
client, launched as a Declude external test.

I've only run it with the server daemon under Declude. I never
bothered to build this with the (Perl-based) SpamAssassin standalone
filter script, since the SPAMD/SPAMC32 combo is so much faster.

Briefly, Perl is not used at all in the client (SPAMC32), but is part
of Cygwin, which is the host shell for the server (SPAMD).
SpamAssassin's filtering is *always* Perl-based, but when run it's in
client/server mode, the client does not run Perl, rather using a
TCP/IP socket connection to the server.

I'll see what I can do to make some on-line stuff that could be
consulted without opening the archive. But, again briefly, Cygwin
isn't in the archive because it needs to be downloaded from its
dedicated site.

All of this should be moved to the JM list. :)
