I've got a client on my IMail server that is having problems receiving
emails from one of their customers. At one time I was using a kill.lst on
the domain, and the client was listed but I've since removed the client and
completely disabled the list. The return message shows a "501 unacceptable
address" for my client which is what I would see if the sender was listed in
the kill file.

The "unacceptable address" is what IMail sends if the return address is in the Kill List. Have you stopped/restarted the IMail SMTP service since making this change?

I've double checked that the senders email host is NOT listed
in the kill file and that the kill file is not active.

It is worth triple-checking this -- I've seen several cases where people had double-checked the Kill List, and on the third time looking at it found that the domain/address was listed in there.

This is the mail delivery agent at messagelabs.com.
I was not able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Connected to 208.255.176.2 but sender was rejected. Remote host said: 501
unacceptable mail address

Is 208.255.176.2 the IP of your IMail server? If so, I would recommend stopping/restarting the IMail SMTP service, and if that doesn't work, checking the Kill list once more.
