How I understand it, if a virus has its own SMTP engine to send itself out, it uses the arbitrary ports above 1024 (I think that's the port) for its outbound connections. I don't think the virus actually listens locally on port 25 which should mean it won't conflict with Imail or any other SMTP service... Please correct me if I'm wrong.
